Taylor Fritz is set to compete against Matteo Arnaldi in the Round of 64 at the Shanghai Masters on Saturday. Fritz, currently ranked World No. 12, has struggled since his title win at the Mubadala DC Open, experiencing losses at the Laver Cup and the Tokyo Open. He will look to break a three-match losing streak against the Italian.
Arnaldi, while also facing tough competition, has demonstrated resilience, pushing Carlos Alcaraz in the Japan Open and securing a commanding win in Shanghai. The head-to-head between Fritz and Arnaldi is evenly split at 1-1, setting the stage for a decisive encounter. Despite Fritz's recent form, the prediction favors him to win in straight sets, capitalizing on the hard court surface suited to his aggressive play.
