The No. 17 Arkansas Razorbacks secured their spot in the Southeastern Conference Tournament championship game, marking their eighth appearance and first since winning the title in 2020. They achieved this by narrowly defeating Ole Miss 93-90 in an overtime thriller.
Darius Acuff Jr., the SEC's leading scorer, was instrumental, contributing five points in the overtime period to finish with 24 points and seven assists. He was supported by Meleek Thomas's 29 points and Trevon Brazile's double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Ole Miss concluded a remarkable tournament run as the 15th seed, becoming only the second double-digit seed to win three games in the event. Their comeback attempt was thwarted when AJ Storr's layup tied the game at 79 with 1.1 seconds left in regulation.
In overtime, Malique Ewin's dunk gave Arkansas the lead, and despite a late chance for Ole Miss to tie, Storr's final 3-pointer missed. Arkansas will now play No. 22 Vanderbilt for the championship, with coach John Calipari aiming for his seventh SEC Tournament title.
