Acuff's 49 points in epic 2OT thriller falls short

A thrilling double overtime game saw No. 25 Alabama edge out No. 20 Arkansas with a final score of 117-115. The contest was a high-scoring affair, with both teams showcasing potent offenses and outstanding individual performances. Arkansas's freshman sensation, Darius Acuff Jr., delivered a historic performance, scoring a record 49 points for the Razorbacks in SEC play and playing all 50 minutes of the game.

Despite Acuff's record-breaking effort and an early lead built by Arkansas's freshmen backcourt, Alabama mounted a significant comeback. The Crimson Tide's second-half surge was fueled by exceptional shooting, with key contributions from Labaron Philon, who scored 35 points, and Aiden Sherrell, who added 26 points and 13 rebounds. The game went down to the wire, featuring dramatic shots and a high level of competition between the two SEC rivals.
