Arjun Tendulkar Debuts as LSG Faces Final Game

As the Indian Premier League 2026 season draws to a close, Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant issued an apology to the team's fans for their challenging campaign. The team, currently at the bottom of the points table, has secured only four wins in thirteen matches.

Speaking before their final game against Punjab Kings on Sunday, May 24, Pant acknowledged the team's struggles and expressed gratitude for the fans' consistent support across Uttar Pradesh. He vowed that the team would return stronger in the upcoming season, promising their utmost effort.

The LSG playing XI for the final match features two changes, most notably the debut of Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Arjun, who was traded from Mumbai Indians, had been on the bench for the entire season before receiving this opportunity.

Arjun, a pace-bowling all-rounder, is expected to contribute as a lower-order batter. He replaces Mayank Yadav in the lineup and will bowl alongside Mohammed Shami, Prince Yadav, and Mohsin Khan.
