Reid's Beach Escape: Football Prep with Ocean Views

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid is prioritizing relaxation and family time this summer. Following the conclusion of the team's minicamp, Reid was observed filming a commercial in Lee's Summit, Mo. He plans to retreat to his beach house in Southern California to disconnect before training camp begins in mid-to-late July.

Reid aims to balance unwinding with football preparation, dedicating one to two hours daily to film review and play design. This focused approach will be enjoyed from his beach house, a setting he finds conducive to maintaining a good environment. He will also stay in communication with his coordinators.

This period of rest is particularly valuable for the 68-year-old coach, who acknowledges not always being adept at taking vacations earlier in his extensive NFL career. He anticipates hosting as many as 25 family members, including grandchildren, at his beach residence.

Adding to the team's stability, star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has signed a contract extension through 2033. Mahomes expressed his deep connection to Kansas City and his eagerness to bounce back from the previous season, a sentiment echoed by Coach Reid as they both look forward to the upcoming season.
