19 Oct
Summary
- Andy Dalton rejected an offer to rejoin the Eagles.
- He plans to sign with a new team shortly.
- Another quarterback, McKee, is set to start.
Andy Dalton has declined an offer to re-sign with the Philadelphia Eagles and is reportedly set to sign with another team imminently. This decision concludes his recent tenure with the Eagles.
The team is now preparing to start quarterback McKee, who has limited career experience with 97 dropbacks and two starts. He averages 6.8 yards per attempt with a 73.8 percent adjusted completion rate.
Mckee faces a challenging matchup against a Panthers secondary missing its starting cornerbacks. The Eagles' own pass-catching unit is also dealing with injuries.
Backup quarterback duties will fall to rookie Cole Payton. There is speculation that the Eagles might consider reuniting with Dalton, whom they released last week.
