Amad Diallo, a winger for Manchester United, has expressed that the club needs substantial improvement and greater consistency if they are to contend for major titles. Diallo acknowledged the team's disappointing start to the season, highlighting the necessity of converting drawn matches into victories to ascend the Premier League standings.
Looking ahead to the upcoming fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on October 10, Diallo underscored the importance of securing three points at Old Trafford. He views this match as a prime opportunity for the Red Devils to build momentum and enhance their league position. A victory, he stated, would provide the team with much-needed confidence and drive for subsequent games, deeming it a 'must-win' encounter.
Diallo also shared his personal journey, describing his transfer to Manchester United in 2021 as the realization of a lifelong dream. He admitted to initial challenges in adapting to a new country and culture. The winger fondly remembers meeting his idol, Paul Pogba, upon his arrival. Furthermore, he recounted his dramatic extra-time goal against Liverpool in the 2024 FA Cup quarter-final, a moment he cherishes despite receiving a red card for his celebrations.
