McCoist Slams 'Embarrassing' Desmond Golf Protest

Ally McCoist has branded the actions of Celtic supporters who targeted Dermot Desmond at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship as "embarrassing." The incident occurred recently when masked protesters appeared during the golf event, throwing tennis balls in Desmond's direction. McCoist, speaking on talkSPORT Breakfast, openly laughed while discussing footage of the protest and disparaged the individuals involved as "numpties." He noted that they "ran away like daft wee boys." Celtic Football Club has since issued a strong statement condemning the protest, asserting that those responsible have "brought shame" upon the club. The club also warned that individuals identified as participants could face indefinite bans from attending matches at Celtic Park.
