The Alabama Crimson Tide has landed a significant commitment for their 2027 recruiting class with five-star quarterback Elijah Haven. Ranked as the consensus top quarterback and second overall recruit nationally, Haven announced his decision on Saturday. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound prospect from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, selected Alabama over other top programs, including finalist Georgia.
Haven brings an impressive resume to Tuscaloosa. He was named the 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year in Louisiana after leading Dunham High School to a state championship. During his sophomore season, he set state records with 62 touchdown passes and 73 total touchdowns. He also showcased his dual-threat ability, recording nearly 800 rushing yards and 11 scores.
His accolades extend to his freshman year, where he led Dunham to a district championship with over 2,200 passing yards and 35 touchdowns. Haven is also a standout multi-sport athlete, earning MVP honors in basketball. He is the second quarterback commit for Alabama's 2027 class, joining Trent Seaborn.
