17 Sep
Summary
- Coach DeBoer wants faster offensive starts.
- Alabama looks to improve early-quarter performance.
- The Crimson Tide faces Florida State on Saturday.
Alabama football coach Kalen DeBoer is prioritizing quicker starts for his team, a key focus as they prepare to face Florida State. DeBoer noted that while the team demonstrated resilience in their win against Kentucky, he is looking for more immediate offensive impact.
He expressed a desire for the Crimson Tide to play fast and confident from the opening whistle. This emphasis on early scoring comes after Alabama has accumulated 17 points in the first quarter over their initial two games.
DeBoer believes that increased familiarity with opponents through film study will allow players to be more comfortable and execute faster. The upcoming game against Florida State, a team Alabama lost to at the start of the 2025 season, is an opportunity to showcase this improved early-game performance.
