Alabama Players Shine in MLB Draft After Lebron Pick

The MLB draft saw significant representation from Alabama baseball as multiple players were selected over the weekend. Following shortstop Justin Lebron's #18 overall pick by the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, three of his teammates heard their names called on Sunday. Right-handed pitcher Tyler Fay was drafted 169th overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the sixth round.
Left-handed pitcher Zane Adams was selected shortly after Fay, going 171st overall to the Baltimore Orioles in the sixth round. Catcher and outfielder Brady Neal was the third Alabama player drafted on Sunday, selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the eighth round at #242.
Additionally, several players who committed to Alabama out of the transfer portal and incoming freshmen were drafted. Two former Alabama pitchers also heard their names called, rounding out a successful draft for the program. Notable selections included pitchers Dylan Marroineaux and Garrett Lambert, as well as high school signees Cade Dorland and Hudson DeVaughn.
