Aiyuk Calls Out Jayden Daniels on IG: What's Brewing?
5 Jul
Summary
- Aiyuk publicly called out potential future teammate Jayden Daniels on Instagram.
- The callout occurred after Daniels did not defend Aiyuk in a fan interaction.
- Aiyuk is trying to join the Commanders where Daniels is the star quarterback.
Brandon Aiyuk has publicly expressed his desire to depart from the 49ers, with social media posts indicating a strong interest in joining the Commanders. This potential move would place him under the wing of star quarterback Jayden Daniels. However, a recent social media exchange has raised questions about their budding relationship.
On July 4th, Aiyuk posted a selfie on his Instagram Story tagging Daniels and urged him to 'Turn your savage up.' This comment appears to reference an earlier incident where Daniels was seen laughing as a fan berated Aiyuk during a World Cup game. Aiyuk did not come to his own defense in the video.
Given Aiyuk's ongoing public displays regarding his future and the sensitive nature of quarterback-receiver dynamics, his social media actions warrant attention. It is generally considered unwise for a receiver to alienate a potential quarterback, especially when actively seeking a contract with that quarterback's franchise.
