Afghan Cricket Stars Visit Ailing Teammate

Afghan cricket luminaries Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi have shown solidarity with former national team pacer Shapoor Zadran, who is currently battling a severe illness. Zadran has been diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a serious condition where the immune system is significantly impaired, leading to hyperinflammation and organ damage. He has been admitted to a hospital in the Delhi-NCR region for ongoing treatment.

Nabi shared his observations from a recent visit to Zadran in a Greater Noida hospital, expressing how 'heartbreaking' it was to see the once-strong pacer on a hospital bed. Images were shared from the intensive care unit, accompanied by prayers for his swift and complete recovery. Zadran, who represented Afghanistan in 44 ODIs and 36 T20Is between 2009 and 2020, initially responded well to treatment but experienced a relapse.
