Summary
- FTR will defend AEW World Tag Titles next Wednesday.
- Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson challenge FTR.
- Matt Hardy suggested a Hardy Boyz vs. FTR feud.
A significant World Tag Team Championship match has been officially announced for next Wednesday's special three-hour AEW Holiday Bash event. The reigning champions, FTR, will put their titles on the line against the formidable duo of Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson, collectively known as the Bang Bang Gang. This bout stems from a challenge laid down on last Saturday's Collision.
FTR, comprised of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler, secured their third AEW World Tag Team Championship reign at Full Gear 2025, defeating Brody King and Bandido. The upcoming Holiday Bash will mark their inaugural title defense since capturing the championship belts. The match is scheduled to take place live from Manchester, England.
In related news, former AEW personality Matt Hardy recently voiced his enthusiasm for a potential dream match between FTR and his own faction, The Hardy Boyz. Speaking on his podcast, Hardy described such a contest as "money," highlighting FTR's fundamental wrestling prowess. However, with Matt and Jeff Hardy currently signed to TNA, the feasibility of this highly anticipated clash remains uncertain.
