The Las Vegas Aces clinched their fourth consecutive win on Sunday, narrowly defeating the Atlanta Dream 85-84 thanks to a dramatic fadeaway jumper by Chelsea Gray with just 3.6 seconds left on the clock. Gray led the Aces with 21 points, supported by A'ja Wilson and Chennedy Carter, who each added 20 points.
During the game, A'ja Wilson achieved a career milestone, surpassing coach Becky Hammon to rank 19th on the WNBA's all-time scoring list with 5,844 points. Despite a strong performance from Atlanta's Allisha Gray, who scored 25 points, and Te-Hina Paopao with 19, the Dream could not hold off the charging Aces.
The Dream had staged an impressive comeback, scoring 16 unanswered points to take an 84-83 lead in the final minute. However, a clutch defensive effort and a tie-up situation allowed the Aces to regain possession for Gray's game-winning shot. Notably, Aces player Jackie Young was held scoreless for the first time since her second season.
