Abhishek Bachchan has cultivated a significant presence in the sports world, viewing his investments as driven by passion rather than profit. He attributes his deep-seated love for sports to his father, Amitabh Bachchan, recalling childhood lessons in kabaddi and introductions to global sports icons.

Bachchan's foray into professional sports ownership began with the Jaipur Pink Panthers in the Pro Kabaddi League. His involvement was hands-on, including relocating to Jaipur and engaging with players operationally. He applies the same philosophy to Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League, acknowledging the challenges of sports outside cricket's dominance.

His ambition now extends to Europe as a co-founder of the European T20 Premier League (ETPL). This initiative seeks to establish a professional T20 cricket competition across Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands, marking Europe as the last major cricket market without such a league.

Bachchan prioritizes building foundational sporting structures and attracting partners with a long-term vision.
