Summary
- Ricky Pearsall suffered knee and ankle injuries, impacting his availability.
- His status is uncertain for the crucial game against the Colts.
- Key defensive players returned to practice but were limited in drills.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall missed the team's first practice of the week due to knee and ankle injuries, casting doubt on his availability for Monday night's game against the Indianapolis Colts. This matchup could secure a playoff spot for the 49ers, who currently hold a 10-4 record.
Pearsall aggravated his ankle on the opening play last week and later his knee injury, which had previously sidelined him for six games. Despite the setbacks, Coach Kyle Shanahan expressed optimism that the extra day of rest might allow Pearsall to play, noting his improved condition.
On the defensive side, linebacker Tatum Bethune, defensive end Sam Okuayinonu, and defensive lineman Yetur Gross-Matos were limited in practice with ankle and hamstring injuries, respectively. Eric Kendricks, recently signed to the practice squad, also participated after recovering from a calf injury, potentially bolstering the run defense.
