49ers Draft Versatile OL Carver Willis
25 Apr
Summary
- Carver Willis drafted by San Francisco 49ers in fourth round.
- Willis brings experience playing multiple offensive line positions.
- He is seen as a good fit for the 49ers' wide zone scheme.

Carver Willis, an offensive lineman from Washington, was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, pick number 127 overall. Willis transferred from Kansas State, where he started 18 games at right tackle before starting 10 games at left tackle for the Huskies in the past season. He proved his adaptability by playing all five offensive line positions during the Senior Bowl week.
Recognizing he may not be a tackle at the professional level due to his frame, Willis also snapped the ball at Washington's pro day. His quickness off the snap and proficiency as a puller in the run game align well with the 49ers' wide zone scheme. He is expected to compete with Connor Colby for the left guard position.
