49ers Offensive Line Dominates Snap Counts in 2025 Season

Dominick Puni and Colton McKivitz, the right guard and right tackle respectively, logged the most snaps for the 2025 San Francisco 49ers, playing in all 19 games. This extensive workload for the offensive line secured their position as the highest snap-takers on the team, surpassing last year's leader by over 100 snaps.

Christian McCaffrey was a pivotal player, accounting for 35.6% of the team's total yards, a higher percentage than when he previously won NFL Offensive Player of the Year. This marks his third season surpassing 1,000 snaps.

Quarterback Brock Purdy and Mac Jones shared significant playing time, with nearly identical regular-season statistics. Both players battled injuries, impacting their mobility, though Purdy indicated his turf toe issue was resolved by season's end. Despite a career-high interception rate, Purdy's completion percentage matched his Super Bowl appearance season.

Key defensive players like Nick Bosa and Kalia Davis suffered significant injuries, leading to increased snap counts for linemen such as Sam Okuayinonu and Bryce Huff. The team faced challenges with a league-low 20 sacks, and rookie defensive players received low PFF grades.

Special teams saw a core group of players providing significant improvement over previous seasons. Several of these key special teamers are scheduled to become free agents in March, alongside other notable players like linebacker Eric Kendricks.
