Bulldogs Lose 2027 WR Commit

Gavin Honroe, a highly-touted 2027 wide receiver, has decommitted from the Georgia Bulldogs, reopening his recruitment. Ranked as a three-star prospect, Honroe is considered the 540th best player nationally and the 70th best wide receiver. He also holds the distinction of being the fourth-best player in Nevada.

Honroe initially committed to Georgia in June of the previous year. Since then, he has continued to attract significant interest, receiving multiple offers from Power Four programs. His decision to decommit may be influenced by his desire to explore all available options and potentially take official visits this summer, a common practice for uncommitted recruits.

In addition to his football achievements, Honroe demonstrated impressive speed on the track in 2025, clocking a personal best of 10.83 seconds in the 100-meter dash. The Bulldogs' 2027 recruiting class currently stands with six commits, following recent additions and departures, including the earlier decommitment of offensive lineman Kyson Mallard.
