2027 Cornerback Brexton Bell Commits to Maryland Terrapins

In a significant move for the Maryland Terrapins football program, 2027 cornerback Brexton Bell has committed to the Big Ten school. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect from Savannah, Georgia's Calvary Day had multiple double-digit offers, including from North Carolina, Pittsburgh, and Wake Forest. However, it was Maryland's persistent recruitment and clear vision for his development that ultimately convinced Bell to join the Terrapins.

"Maryland has been on me hard," Bell told Rivals. "Coach Liguet and Coach Likely have been in constant contact with me. They made sure I knew they had a home for me and that they wanted me." The Terrapins' coaching staff impressed Bell with their plan for his future, and he believes he can make an early impact in their scheme. "They laid out a plan for me. They see me making an early impact, and that was huge."

Bell's visit to the College Park campus earlier this season was a turning point, as he felt at home and was impressed by the program's facilities and hospitality. "The visit was great. Maryland's coaches showed me around, I got the tour, saw the facilities, and they made me feel at home. The hospitality was amazing, and I can't wait to get back."

With his commitment now secured, Bell is confident in the direction of the Maryland program under head coach Mike Locksley and the development he'll receive in College Park. "I believe in Coach Locksley and the staff at Maryland. They can develop players. That's my goal. I want to play in the NFL."
