The 2026 FIFA World Cup, hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, will feature a stringent Stadium Code of Conduct. This finalized 35-page document outlines prohibited items and behaviors for attendees.
Fans are permitted to bring empty, reusable plastic water bottles up to 1-liter capacity. However, all liquids exceeding 100ml are banned, with exceptions for baby milk and medically necessary liquids. Similarly, food items are not allowed. Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC, not exceeding 12x6x12 inches, or small clutches up to 4.5x6.5 inches. Non-transparent bags and backpacks are generally prohibited.
Prohibited items encompass a wide range, including weapons, balloons, noise-generating devices like vuvuzelas, selfie sticks, tripods, and pyrotechnics such as flares and fireworks. Large banners and flags are restricted unless pre-approved by FIFA, and those exceeding 2 meters x 1.5 meters require written consent. Items deemed political, offensive, or discriminatory are also banned.
While cigarettes and e-devices may be carried in, their use is restricted to designated outdoor smoking areas. Other permitted items include smartphones, watches, eyeglasses, cultural headwear, and medical masks. FIFA and stadium authorities reserve the ultimate decision on any item's admissibility, ensuring safety and event integrity.
