This year's ballot features an impressive roster of talent, including record-breaking athletes from Mount Union like Bill Borchert and Nate Kmic, and Akron Zips standout Steve Cockerham. Borchert, a two-time All-American, led his team to national titles, while Kmic holds multiple all-division records for rushing and scoring. Cockerham was a defensive force for the Zips, earning All-American honors.
In addition to the divisional ranks, the ballot includes candidates from the Football Bowl Subdivision. The 2026 inductees will be formally celebrated at the National Football Foundation's annual awards dinner on December 8 in Las Vegas, capping a year of recognition for these storied careers.
