Skipper Jemimah Rodrigues highlighted the young player's capabilities, describing her as someone who "can really smash the ball out of the park."
Deeya Yadav was secured by Delhi Capitals for ₹10 Lakh during the auction. Her inclusion follows a strong showing in the domestic T20 circuit, where she scored close to 300 runs in eight innings for Haryana with a strike rate of around 130. Nicknamed 'Choti Shafali' after her role model, the teenager also amassed over 150 runs in the Senior Inter Zonal T20 event, contributing to North Zone's journey to the final.
