Central to the exhibition is the Megalosaurus, a Jurassic dinosaur originally discovered in a quarry in Stonesfield, Oxfordshire, during the late 18th century. This marks a significant moment as the Megalosaurus was the very first dinosaur to receive a scientific name.
Museum director Dr. Gavin Svenson stated that the newly unveiled displays, opening on Monday, aim to connect thousands of specimens to illuminate pivotal stories within science.
