Prince William Explores Robotics and Supercomputers

During a recent visit to Bristol, Prince William engaged with pioneering technology. He explored the Bristol Robotics Laboratory, trying out a mobility scooter and learning about multi-disciplinary robotics research. Prince William also visited Matter, a leader in sustainable technology, where he was shown filtration devices designed to prevent microplastic pollution.

At the University of Bristol, the Prince of Wales experienced the UK's most powerful supercomputer, Isambard-AI. This technology offers significant potential for fields such as robotics, big data, and drug discovery. He was presented with three LEGO figures of engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel for his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. William remarked that he knew where to come if George needed help with his homework, prompting amusement.

This visit occurred while Prince Harry was in London for a trial. The brothers were last in the same room in August 2024 for a funeral. Royal commentators note a significant divide between the brothers, with William seen as embodying the monarchy's future and Harry perceived as still battling past issues.
