The agency will demolish the historic Dynamic Test Stand and the Propulsion and Structural Test Facility, known as the T-Tower, at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This demolition, set to commence on Saturday, January 10, 2026, is the initial step in a broader plan to remove 25 outdated structures at the Alabama site.

The T-Tower, originally built in 1957 by the U.S. Army Ballistic Missile Agency, was crucial for testing Saturn launch vehicles and Space Shuttle solid rocket boosters. The Dynamic Test Stand, constructed in 1964, supported testing for Saturn V rockets and Space Shuttles. These removals are funded by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, signed into law in July 2025.

Isaacman, confirmed as NASA Administrator in December 2025, aims to use these funds to bolster NASA's infrastructure nationwide.
