Italy and Canada are enhancing their cooperation in the field of quantum technologies. This intensified collaboration was underscored by the "Building Quantum Bridges: Italy-Canada Partnership for the Quantum Future" seminar, hosted in Toronto by the Scientific Office of the Italian Embassy in Canada.
Two significant Memoranda of Understanding were signed on this occasion. The first established a partnership between Italy's National Institute of Nuclear Physics, National Research Council, and ENEA, alongside the Centre for Quantum Information and Quantum Control. The second agreement connected these Italian entities with the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo.
These accords are designed to bolster bilateral engagement in quantum technologies. They will facilitate joint scientific projects, researcher exchanges, and the development of new synergies between the two nations' research ecosystems. The event convened Italian and Canadian academic and scientific representatives to explore mutual expertise and collaborative opportunities.
