International partners have committed to maintaining ISS operations through 2030, confirming ongoing discussions for extending the station's lifespan. Concurrently, Russia is progressing with its own space initiative, with the first module of the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) expected to launch in 2028.
RSC Energia, a key Roscosmos subsidiary, manages the Russian segment of the ISS. This includes manufacturing and operating Soyuz MS spacecraft and Progress MS cargo vehicles, crucial for crew and supply transport, as well as crew recovery missions.
