A remarkable collaboration has resulted in "Cosmic Bloom," a lotus-shaped diamond now orbiting Earth, bringing a beloved nursery rhyme to life. This unique creation is a testament to Indian innovation, merging art, technology, and cultural heritage.
The diamond's journey began with a chance meeting between Sanjana T., founder of Cosmos Diamonds, and Pawan Chandana, Co-Founder of Skyroot Aerospace. Inspired by "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," they aimed to place a diamond in the sky.
India's national flower, the lotus, was chosen for its cultural significance, representing purity and divinity. This symbol traveled aboard Skyroot Aerospace's historic Vikram 1 mission, launched on July 18.
The mission highlighted the convergence of India's burgeoning private space sector and sustainable, technology-driven entrepreneurship. "Cosmic Bloom" now orbits 450 kilometers above Earth, witnessing 16 sunrises and sunsets every 24 hours.
