Astronaut Skates in Space!

Astronaut Jessica Meir has transformed the International Space Station into a unique skate park. Meir, a NASA astronaut, posted a video on X demonstrating tricks with a fingerboard, a miniature skateboard, while aboard the ISS. She navigated the tiny board along the station's equipment panels and rails, adding a touch of Earthly sport to the orbital environment.

This airborne skateboarding display was a personal tribute from Meir to her family, including her brother, husband, and daughter, whom she affectionately called a "little ripper." She even playfully challenged skateboarding icon Tony Hawk, asking what trick he would attempt in zero gravity. Meir recently concluded her command of NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 mission, a 235-day journey on the ISS that included four spacewalks. This marked her second extensive stay in orbit, following a previous 205-day mission.
