Animals at Whipsnade Zoo received an early taste of Halloween festivities through specially prepared treats. The zoo's rhino, Hugo, enthusiastically smashed pumpkins to reveal hidden snacks, while lemurs and macaques eagerly consumed treats from carved pumpkins.

Zookeepers at the Dunstable, Bedfordshire facility have devised creative methods to stimulate the animals' natural foraging behaviors. Head of zoological operations, Matthew Webb, noted that seasonal squashes were utilized to ensure the animals could participate in the Halloween fun.
