Girl Saves Brother from Deadly TikTok Challenge

Leah James, an 11-year-old from Lavon, demonstrated incredible bravery last month when she saved her 7-year-old brother, Logan, from a life-threatening choking incident. The pair were attempting the 'warheads challenge,' a social media trend involving consuming sour candy, on their backyard trampoline on October 1, 2025. During the challenge, Logan choked, and Leah immediately administered abdominal thrusts, successfully dislodging the candy.

Leah's swift response was attributed to skills learned at the Lavon Babysitter's Club, a program for young individuals to learn first aid and rescue techniques. Despite being too young to officially join, her mother's involvement allowed Leah to acquire these vital skills. The family chose to share the video of the incident to raise awareness about the importance of equipping children with emergency preparedness knowledge.
