A remarkable feat of baking and community spirit unfolded as members of The Wedding Cookie Table Community Facebook page organized a massive cookie exchange, aiming to set a new world record. This ambitious event brought together 583 dedicated bakers, forming 67 teams that spanned 14 different states and even reached participants in New Zealand.
On display at the Washington County Fairgrounds were an astonishing 83,427 cookies, all creatively decorated with a festive Christmas theme. Following the display, a substantial 73,835 cookies were successfully exchanged, embodying the collaborative and generous nature of the community involved in this sweet endeavor.
The organizers are submitting their evidence to Guinness World Records with the hope of establishing an entirely new category: the largest Christmas cookie exchange. Laura Magone, the founder of the Facebook group, expressed delight at the event's success and the joy it brought.
