A young man from Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, has set a new Guinness World Record. Saul Hafting, a student at Dalhousie University, achieved the record for solving the most rotating puzzle cubes while on a pogo stick. This impressive feat occurred on October 9, 2021, when Hafting solved an astonishing 211 Rubik's Cubes.
He managed this remarkable achievement with the assistance of 'scramblers' who provided a continuous supply of cubes during his pogo-stick bouncing. Hafting developed his Rubik's Cube-solving skills extensively before incorporating the pogo stick element. He learned to solve the puzzle as early as Grade 6 and became very proficient.
Hafting found that balancing on the pogo stick while manipulating the cubes was the most challenging aspect, requiring him to hold the stick with his knees. Despite occasional falls, his dedication led him to be featured in the 2027 edition of the Guinness World Records book. He encourages others to explore their unique talents for potential record-breaking achievements.
