In Gudem village, the Annapurna Amma Foundation is garnering widespread praise for its dedicated humanitarian efforts. The organization is committed to providing essential free meals to society's most vulnerable populations. This remarkable initiative was born from the personal experience of founder Kurra Savitri, who was moved by the struggles of an elderly woman unable to afford food.
Fueled by a deep sense of compassion, Savitri and four other women pooled their personal savings to establish the foundation. Today, operating from a community kitchen in Gudem, they consistently serve nutritious and hygienic breakfast, lunch, and dinner to approximately 50 beneficiaries each day. The foundation relies on local donations and goodwill to sustain its noble mission.
The Annapurna Amma Foundation has become a significant source of support for elderly individuals, widows, persons with disabilities, and other destitute residents. Their work ensures these community members have access to regular, nourishing meals, thereby enhancing their quality of life and offering a sense of dignity and care.
