Woman on Antipsychotics Found Man in Loft

A woman named Chloe Spooner revealed that ten years ago, she was prescribed antipsychotic medication after she expressed concerns about a potential squatter in her loft. Her loved ones and mental health services did not believe her, leading to her being put on Quetiapine. She shared on social media that after two months on the medication, she contacted the police, who then discovered a homeless man was indeed residing in her loft.

At the time, Spooner, then 20, was already known to mental health services. She described noticing a crack in the loft hatch and later hearing footsteps, which she believed indicated someone was present. Her persistent claims were met with disbelief from her circle, who suggested she might be hearing voices. Following her doctor's visit, she was given Quetiapine, which significantly sedated her.

Two months into her ordeal, convinced she had seen a man staring at her through the loft hatch, Spooner called the police. Officers investigated and found evidence of someone living in the loft, including multiple backpacks. The squatter was identified as a friend of her neighbor. Spooner reflected that she was wrongly medicated for delusions when her fears were valid and the individual was tormenting her.
