- Club builds adapted cart for her to participate.
- Club uses sign language, inspiring inclusivity.

Chloe Hammond, a dedicated wheelchair user and assistance dog handler, has expressed immense excitement about finally participating in carnival events. She has admired the spectacle of carnivals in Weston-super-Mare since childhood but never believed she could join, especially after becoming a wheelchair user. Her perspective changed when she learned about the Misfits Carnival Club near Taunton.
The Misfits Carnival Club's decision to incorporate sign language into their entry for the 2025 Somerset County Guy Fawkes Carnival circuit resonated deeply with Chloe. This commitment to inclusivity prompted her to reach out, leading to the club's accommodating response. They are now building a specially adapted cart to ensure Chloe can fully experience the carnival.
Chloe, who also sings with the UK show choir, described her anticipation: "Carnival has been something that I've always admired but I never thought I could be a part of." She is "buzzing" about the prospect of performing on an actual carnival cart, calling the lights and atmosphere "really fun." The club's efforts are set to make her long-held dream a reality.
