Rhiannon Chihi, 21, who weighed 37 stone, experienced severe side effects from prescribed weight loss jabs like Mounjaro and Wegovy. These included persistent nausea, sickness, and debilitating lethargy, making continuation unsafe.

Previously bullied for her weight since childhood, Rhiannon faced significant life limitations, including needing a seatbelt extender and fearing chairs would collapse. A doctor warned she might not live past 30 if her weight continued to increase.

Facing a critical health juncture, Rhiannon pursued gastric sleeve surgery in Turkey for £2,600 in July 2025. This intervention proved successful, leading to a loss of 14 stone within the first seven months post-operation.

She now feels more confident and socially engaged, viewing her journey as a climb towards a healthier future. While acknowledging excess skin, she aims for future skin removal surgery after reaching her goal weight of a UK size 12.
