Wayne Ignites Holiday Spirit Despite Freezing Temperatures

Wayne's holiday season officially commenced with a spectacular lighting ceremony, bathing the town in the glow of hundreds of lights despite the unseasonably cold weather. The community turned out in force, undeterred by the chill, to celebrate the start of the festive period.

The annual tradition was elevated this year with the addition of an ice rink, cozy fire pits, and engaging craft activities. A highlight for many was the arrival of Santa Claus, who was escorted down North Wayne Avenue by a fire truck, much to the delight of families gathered on the streets.

Organizers from the Wayne Business Association expressed their enthusiasm for the large turnout, emphasizing the event's role in fostering community spirit. The kickoff event has set a cheerful tone, with further weekend festivities planned, including a Santa Parade.
