W Hotels continues its evolution with the opening of W Sardinia - Poltu Quatu, a 157-room resort situated in a secluded marina on the island's northeast coast. This new property joins W Rome and W Florence, offering distinct Italian experiences. Meyer Davis designed the interiors, drawing inspiration from the island's caves, coastline, artisan traditions, and folklore.
The resort's 157 rooms and suites are designed as grotto-like retreats, featuring textured stone and curved details that evoke the surrounding waters. Wulff notes Sardinia's duality of beauty and wildness, with Poltu Quatu offering a unique sense of discovery. The property centers around its marina and WET Deck pool, complemented by the waterfront restaurant TANIT, led by chef Antonio Bitetto, which highlights Sardinian seafood.
Complementing its urban counterparts, W Rome and W Florence, the Sardinia resort provides a coastal escape. W Rome, opened in 2021, is set in a historic palazzo with Sicilian-inspired dining and city views. W Florence blends contemporary design with Florentine art and Medici history, offering rooftop vistas and local collaborations. Both properties showcase the brand's sophisticated, evolved aesthetic and intuitive service.
