Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have recently acquired a five-acre plot in Alibaug, reportedly costing Rs 40 crore, adding to their real estate holdings in the coastal locale. This expansion follows their earlier acquisition of a property for Rs 19 crore, which was subsequently enhanced with an additional Rs 13 crore investment to create a bespoke holiday home.

The luxurious 10,000-square-foot villa is an architectural fusion, drawing inspiration from both California and Konkan aesthetics. It prominently features natural materials like stone, Italian marble, and travertine, fostering an elegant yet earthy ambiance. The residence includes four bedrooms and four bathrooms, with interiors characterized by a palette of white, earthy hues, accented with black and brown.

Virat Kohli shared that the living room's double-height ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows, overlooking a swimming pool, are designed to maximize natural light and create a relaxed atmosphere. Significantly, the space deliberately omits televisions or other entertainment systems, serving as a dedicated area for family conversations and bonding.

Kohli emphasized a shift in his personal priorities, stating that work now constitutes a small part of his life. He values family time, particularly shared meals, which he feels he missed during his formative years due to his intense cricket schedule. This holiday home serves as a sanctuary for creating cherished family moments.

Outdoor amenities include a porch with a temperature-controlled swimming pool and jacuzzi, all set amidst lush greenery. The villa also boasts a customized kitchen and smart home technology, including circadian lighting and advanced filtration systems. Despite having four bedrooms, Kohli identified the master suite as his favorite space for unwinding.
