Her upcoming 30-minute talk, "Taking Back the Narrative," follows a viral incident at a Coldplay concert in July. The scandal involved Cabot and her boss, ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, being caught in an intimate moment on the concert's kiss cam.

Public reaction to Cabot's speaking engagement has been largely negative, with many accusing her of profiting from a past scandal. Cabot, formerly an HR executive, resigned from her position after the incident, as did Byron. She revealed in December that the viral moment led to significant personal fallout, including death threats.

Cabot has described the event as a "cliché" mistake made after consuming alcohol. She stated that she and Byron had not kissed prior to that night, despite sharing drinks and dancing. The incident occurred while she was separated from her husband, Andrew, who was also present at the concert.

Both Cabot and Byron were placed on leave by Astronomer during an investigation following the July incident. Byron subsequently resigned as CEO, and Cabot's resignation followed shortly thereafter. She expressed a desire for her children to understand that mistakes can be made and overcome, without facing extreme threats.
