Vintage Gown Becomes Lifesaving Tourniquet on Beach

A recent evening walk on the beach took a frightening turn for Lexy Lacey and her husband when they ventured onto jetty rocks. During their exploration, Lacey sustained a minor finger cut, but her husband suffered a more serious injury, falling and striking his head and leg on a rock.

Fearing a severe leg wound, Lacey immediately decided to call for emergency assistance, despite her husband's initial reluctance. As his bleeding worsened, she used her recently purchased vintage Victoria's Secret nightgown as an improvised medical tool. She tore fabric from the garment to create a tourniquet and apply direct pressure to the wound.

Emergency responders arrived and treated the injury, which required six stitches on his shin. Although the nightgown was destroyed, the incident gained viral attention when Lacey shared it on TikTok. The video resonated with many, sparking supportive messages and even an offer from a stranger to send a replacement gown.
