Varanasi, the holy city of Kashi, is gearing up for the third Monday of the Hindu month of Shrawan. As the auspicious day approaches, saffron-clad Kanwariyas have started converging in large numbers, signaling the start of the celebrations.
In response, officials have been busy finalizing arrangements to ensure the smooth and safe passage of the devotees. Traffic and crowd regulation measures have been put in place, while the Vishwanath Gali traders association has begun preparations to facilitate the 'jalabhishek' ritual. Special attention has been paid to sanitation, the availability of drinking water, and necessary resources along the routes leading to the Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
Adding to the auspiciousness of the occasion, the Kashi Vishwanath Temple authorities have announced that the deity will be adorned in the special form of 'Ardhanarishvara' during the evening Shringar Aarti on the third Monday of Shrawan. This unique representation of the divine is expected to draw even more devotees to the temple.

The police and administration have also been working tirelessly to manage the influx of pilgrims. A no-vehicle zone has been created, and traffic restrictions and diversions have been implemented on the main routes leading to the Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Additionally, women police officers have been deployed on all Kanwar routes, and a large number of women police constables have been stationed at the temple and ghats to ensure the safety and respect of all devotees.
