Urban exploring, or 'urbex,' involves documenting abandoned historical sites, a pursuit that can be both dangerous and unlawful. Chris, an enthusiast, sees it as a vital way to photograph memories before they are permanently lost.

He recently explored the Riverside shopping center in Shrewsbury, which Shropshire Council purchased in 2018. The buildings were demolished starting in August 2024.

Chris gained access shortly before demolition, capturing images of empty storefronts and eerie staff rooms containing the last scribbles of former employees. He felt privileged to document the site before its final destruction.
