The ceremony was led by Fr. Denis D'Sa, the PRO of Udupi Diocese, along with Maxim Saldanha and Kishor Gonsalves. Prior to the start of the event, Dolphy Mascharenhas of Hot Chicks Manipal shared the significance of the cake mixing tradition, which helps the cakes develop a richer aroma and flavor.

He noted that the cake is a central part of the celebrations, and the act of exchanging greetings and sharing the sweetness of the cake strengthens the bonds of love, unity, and brotherhood among people.
The hotel's managing director, Vasudeva Nayak, along with the manager, F&B manager, and executive chef, were also present at the ceremony, underscoring the community-wide participation in this cherished tradition.
