Vegan Chef's Encore: Comfort Food Elevated

Chef Rahein has returned to Delray Beach with True Vegan, his acclaimed vegan kitchen, located on the prominent Atlantic Avenue. This relaunch of his former eatery, The New Vegan, focuses on elevating vegan comfort food, aiming to surpass its traditional counterparts in taste and appeal. The restaurant soft-opened on November 15th and offers a refreshed menu that includes fan favorites like vegan fried chicken (VFC), alongside new additions such as pasta fagioli, pizza flatbreads, and a variety of soft-serve ice cream flavors.

True Vegan is committed to providing delicious, accessible plant-based options, with all menu items being gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and non-GMO. Chef Rahein emphasizes that the restaurant is not about conversion but about offering superior choices for all, including those with dietary restrictions or health concerns. His dedication is evident in his meticulous preparation, including growing key ingredients like black turmeric on his own farm to ensure complete control over the product quality and flavor profile.

The new venture has been met with enthusiasm, including a significant number of pre-booked reservations and positive feedback from loyal patrons and new business partner Billy Koorse. With a capacity of 65 seats, the restaurant aims to cater to diners at all hours, with plans to launch a breakfast menu in early 2026 and offer late-night "night bites."
