Student Train Trash Sparks Civic Sense Debate

A viral video displaying a train coach littered with trash, including food wrappers and bottles, has sparked a significant public debate. A passenger shared the 43-second clip, claiming that a group of Class 10 students on a tour to Manali were responsible for the widespread mess. The video shows soiled bedsheets and scattered garbage on the compartment floor.

The passenger who filmed the incident expressed disappointment, noting that they had urged the students to clean up, highlighting that public property should be respected. This event has led to widespread discussion online, with many users attributing the behavior to upbringing and societal conditioning rather than the students' age.

Commenters suggested that both parents and schools share responsibility for instilling civic values. Some proposed systemic solutions for Indian Railways, such as implementing a refundable cleanliness deposit at the time of booking. Others called for stricter cleanliness enforcement and increased awareness campaigns regarding the maintenance of public spaces.
