On March 17, 2023, the Wormsbaker family's world was shattered when their 25-year-old son, Dylan, was killed in a motorcycle accident. Dylan, a journeyman plumber and father of four, was riding his bike through Twin Falls, Idaho when he was hit by a minivan that failed to yield.
Devastated by the loss, the Wormsbakers soon learned that Dylan, who had registered as an organ donor when he was 20, was able to help an astonishing 102 patients around the country, ranging in age from 15 to 77. This news provided some solace to the grieving family, as they were guided through the process by representatives from the organization Donor Connect.
Dylan's fiancée, Angela Pace, has since opened an indoor kids' playground in Twin Falls, which she had been planning with Dylan. The Wormsbakers are also working to keep Dylan's memory alive for his four children, sometimes visiting his grave with the whole family. As they navigate this tragic loss, they take comfort in knowing that Dylan's decision to become an organ donor has allowed him to continue making a profound impact on the lives of others.
